I would love to use QuteCsound more, but it crashes as soon as I try to change something in the preferences, like setting a midi option. Pressing the OK button just crashes the program without any clue why. Is there an error log file that I can turn to? I use version 0.6.1 on OS X 10.5.8 Richard -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/QuteCsound-crashes-tp4504506p4504506.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. yes, I can confirm the crashes. I was using 0.6.0, which has never given me any problems and update to 0.6.1 to test now and experienced the crashes. Maybe you should revert now to that version that is working well. I think this is because of the wrong libstdc++ version. I am guessing here 0.6.1 was built on 10.6, and when this is run on 10.5.8, it does not find the expected library, but a different version. This site appears to have a good explanation: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6365772/unable-to-run-an-application-compiled-on-os-x-snow-leopard-10-6-7-on-another-ma I guess we need to keep to 0.6.0 for the moment, until a 10.5- compatible binary is offered. Thanks Victor, this version 0.6.0 seems to work fine. BTW, I wrote a small Applescript droplet that executes Csound when a .csd file is dropped on it. Advantage: no latency. I noticed quite some latency when I use csound 'inside' another program, like CuteCsound, but also MacCSound, if I recall correctly. I will make a link available soon. regards, Richard -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/QuteCsound-crashes-tp4504506p4504566.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. yes this is a known issue (reported here and on the qutecsound list), and one reason we should have a new release very soon. joachim Am 20.06.2011 00:05, schrieb zappfinger: > I would love to use QuteCsound more, but it crashes as soon as I try to > change something in the preferences, like setting a midi option.
