[Csnd] Linux -Ma option

In Linux, with the -Ma option, are either/both of the following required:

-+rtmidi=alsa
hw:1,0

I assume the first but not the second (or a variation of it). Is this 
correct?

I also assume that whenever MIDI is used in Linux, the first is either 
required or advised. ?

Hi Art,

You need to specify the MIDI rt module (-+rtmidi=alsa or
-+rtmidi=portmidi) and then specify the device -Ma, which is valid for
either one.
Depending on your alsa, you may also need to do what valiste suggests.
