[Csnd] gate opcode

is there no gate opcode?  i've been slumming around and can't seem to find anything except Mr. McCurdy's  follow2gate.  the reason why i'm looking is to keep noise out of a pitch tracking system, pretty important or else you get a lot of nonsense.

suggestions?  i may end up just hot-rodding the follow2gate.

thanks for the help...

Hi Jason,

You could try the 'compress' opcode which claims to also function as noise gate, although I haven't used it much. If you want to develop my follow2 gate you might like to incorporate the 'trigger' opcode with which you could sense whether the gate is opening or closing. You could then define a separate attack and release time and also separate open and close thresholds.
Sorry I haven't got an example of this handy.

Bye,
Iain
