Is CSound 5.11 only for MacIntel?

I am wanting to use the new MacCSound 1.4 beta (I have the CSound 5.09 build currently installed.), and am wanting to install 5.11 on my G5 PPC.

I have 5.10, but it would be nice to try 5.11

Regards,

Gary

No need for 5.11 PPC to use MacCsound 1.4. It comes with its own 5.10
csound.
5.11 PPC will come, but I am not sure when.

I only have a PPC mac, but it is running a somewhat old OS. Thought I had
build 5.11 on it but not sure how to package.

Ok, so MacCsound 1.4 comes with 5.10? So do I need to uninstall 5.09,
or can I jsut go ahead with the MacCsound 1.4 installer and this will
overwrite 5.09?

yes -- this new beta is all self contained with no install/uninstall needed.

the advantage is that it doesn't conflict with any other csound install (like intel csoundlib)

but the disadvantage is that you can't update csoundlib yourself. however it should be no problem for me to make a separate MacCsound version that does it the old way and only uses the external libs for those users who want to update their own..

victor gave me some tips to using scons and i will try to get 5.11 ppc compiled today and let yall know how it goes..

thanks,
-m

If you do, then could we proceed to make the full marriage PPC +
MacCsound? In other words, if you are on PPC, please use MacCsound for
the latest Csound.

It makes more sense that me scrambling to find a way to keep
distributing PPC csound. I'll concentrate on OSX versions for Intel
(10.4, 10.5 and soon 10.6).
