Subject[Csnd] fout and long performances
For a live performance I am using fout to record it all.
After the performance - of which the length is not known in advance - I just
shut down csound.
But obviously this messes up the wave file written by fout.

What is a good way of shutting down Csound but let fout finish neatly?

Richard

use turnoff2 to stop the instr containing fout. That should do it.

That can actually happen because fout is not Rt-safe. Peiman's suggestion is probably best if fout is not doing it for you.

No sorry, I'd assumed it was either linux or osx. As far as I know
Jack doesn't run on windows either. What about soundflower and
Audacity?

Using -R for constantly rewriting the header works
fine for me. You should be able to turn csound off
everytime you want.
