[Csnd] new experiment..

Subject[Csnd] new experiment..
I'm getting tired of posting 'new piece' in the subjects of my emails
as they are only really sketches of something. Anyhow, I just posted a
new sketch on my soundcloud space. I've been building an instrument to
trigger other instruments based on simple random processes. So I went
mad programming some drums. I chopped up a load of breaks into their
separate hits and then simply triggered the samples in varying orders.
I can control whenever a new beat occurs through my user interface. I
can also determine the probability of different samples being
triggered. The synth is controlled in a similar fashion but it uses
note tables to determine the notes it plays. I can also control its
timbre and amplitude envelope in real time using various sliders. The
link is below, but be forewarned, I've never programmed drums before!

Well done,
really nice. Thanks for sharing,

PS: what is NiMPTi? Is it an instrument build with Cabbage? And when will be
Cabbage
for linux relased?
I am waiting for it ...

Thanks,
ciao,
francesco.

NiMPTi is a Csound instrument I wrote a while back. I just added a GUI
frontend using Cabbage so that I can control it in real time. Cabbage
for Linux will be out during the summer. I'm up to my eyes with exam
corrections and meetings at the moment so I'm afraid that Cabbage
stuff has to be put aside for the interim.

Here's another piece using the same instrument. This time no drums!
