I have an Alesis io4, not the best onboard pereamps but very low on budget (if you need 2 inputs only there is the io2 thats cheaper).

In ALSA there are no parameters that can be controlled (via driver), everything is configurable with knobs and switches on the unit.

Hi,

A tiny bit off-topic, but I'm told it might be of interest to a few people...

I have a delta 1010LT I really like.  In looking for spare breakout cables in case of cat, I discovered that it's been discontinued (with most of the m-audio sound cards) and isn't available.

Any recommendations for sound cards that work well with Linux?  (Jack/ALSA.)

Thanks,
Jen

Interesting...

Thanks for the recommendations.  Are USB sound devices easier to get working now? Last time I tried was a long time ago.

Thanks!
Jen
