Thanks, Victor. This is very reassuring.

You don't any flag to turn the widgets on. If you want graphs, --displays will turn them on.

Victor,

So, to use FLTK in the terminal on OSX (and with Csound6), what flag do you need to turn on, if any?

However, and by default (if I'm not mistaken), whenever the string "FLrun" is found in a csd, CsoundQt will run the csd in an external terminal even when told to run internally, so the conflict shouldn't be so serious. There is an option in the preferences to toggle this behavior, but I think that's the default.

Cheers,
Andrés

Is the "FLTK problem" on OSX specific to certain opcodes, or is it in such a mess as to be completely unuseable?

For me this is a real-world issue. I'm trying hard to get some clarity as to whether FLTK is viable as a cross-platform performance GUI. I will *not* use it if it is not dependable - or cannot be made dependable - on OSX.

I wonder if any developer is willing to work on this. (I can't recall any significant issue that has remained unresolved for such a long time.)

because FLTK is problematic on OSX, so I suppressed it in Csound 6 by default. John ffitch asked for it to be maintained, so I did not change the defaults for Linux.

Ok, -g works when running Csound from the command line, but in my frontends it doesn't. That is to say I still get the graphs launched when my host launches. I don't recall this ever being an issue before.
