[Csnd] CSound Mixers - any toots available?

Subject[Csnd] CSound Mixers - any toots available?
Would anyone know of a link to info on writing a mixer instrument in CSound?

I've used the physical mixers and realise they can be quite complex, but I'm just looking at understanding how to emulate a simple mixer in CSound. The mixer I want to write should cope with 2 or 3 instruments, some of which are fluid synths, others not.

It looks to me like I should use zak or the mixer opcodes in a mixer instrument. I've looked at two books "The CSound Book" and" CSound Power", and was just wondering if there were any other discussions on this topic I could read, before diving in.

All the best,

Jacques

Hi Jacques,

I wrote an article here:

http://www.csounds.com/journal/issue13/emulatingMidiBasedStudios.html

I know Jacob Joaquin also wrote about something similar, though I'm
having trouble googling for it. (Perhaps he'll chime in or others may
know the page.)

Thanks Steven, good article.

the blog server (http://www.thumbuki.com/csound/blog/) for Jacob's piece looks out of action.

all the best,

Jacques

Jacques,

if you can be helpful,
I have a /csd/ which is called /"Theater mix"/ and that simulates a small
mixer suited to the theater.
It works primarily with audio file and contains various instruments (reverb,
pan, pitch, skiptime, mute, fadein, fadeout ...).

Enrico
