[Csnd] re 6.01 and WinXP

Subject | [Csnd] re 6.01 and WinXP |
Am I correct that the latest version of Csound will not run correctly on WinXP? I gather from here and there that WinXP is still widely in use, so I'm wondering why the creators of csound aren't still supporting it. (Especially since everyone has such a bug about keeping it backward compatible with versions built originally for DOS!) [Of course, if it IS able to run correctly on WinXP, that's great. If not, some way of indicating that on Sourceforge would be helpful, so XP'ers won't waste time trying to make it work.) Bob |
