Subject[Csnd] Csound Conference 2013
Hi All,

Just wanted to say I had a fantastic time at the Csound Conference
2013 at Berklee in Boston this past weekend. What a fantastic set of
keynotes, a wonderful tribute to Max Mathews, great concerts, and lots
of interesting presentations. I really enjoyed getting to have meals
with people, seeing some old friends and meeting new ones. Thanks
again to Dr. B and the Berklee College of Music for their wonderful
organization and hosting!

As a sidenote, for those who attended some sessions of mine, I'm
working on cleaning up presentations and examples now, and hope to
have them posted in the next day or two.

Hope everyone got home safely and looking forward already to ICC3!

+1+1!
Yes indeed.
Thanks to Richard and his team,
and thanks to all who attended and made it such a memorable and inspiring event.

Eagerly looking forward to the next one.
I guess it will be our turn to do it in Trondheim sometime soon(?), but I do not think we can make it in 2015 as we also organize DAFx then.

best,
and many many thanks again for a well organized conference. Congratulations Berklee!

i also totally agree. The conference was one of the most meaningful one ever experienced.
i have made friends with interesting people, concert pieces were all impressive,
all staff were very kind in spite of my poor English, i learned a lot from the way Prof. Boulanger behaved as a coordinator and as an educator, and i respect him.
Thank you very much for hosting the conference, Prof. Dr. B. and the Berklee team.
i really look forward to the next conference also.

SubjectRe: [Csnd] Re: Csound Conference 2013
I wish to thank Richard Boulanger, the conference organizer and host, and Berklee College of Music the conference venue, for hosting the Csound Conference 2013. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks, also, to the dedicated developers, users, and musicians who contributed to the conference.

I think once a year may be too much for a small community like Csound, maybe once every two years would be better. But I might be wrong.

I hope that what happened will be presented to the public in the form of a printed proceedings and/or a permanent Web site containing all relevant materials. I think the way that daFX does these things is a reasonable model, but we would in addition need hosting for at least some of the musical and video materials.

Thanks again,
Mike

I second Mike's hope that we can get all the proceedings in some form. For example, I'd love to get John Chowning's keynote presentation (with media), and Jean-Claude Risset's full paper (from which his keynote was excerpted). And of course, to would be great to have access to the materials from all of Saturday sessions, since it was impossible for anyone to see all of them (not a criticism, this is true for most conferences).
