Subject[Csnd] cSound QT crash (win 8) cSound 6.0.1
Hi, I'm using the latest cSound with the qt, and sometimes the qt crashes
(especially with the included examples). I'm using win 8 x64.

Any hint?

thanks

I get that too sometimes and also the computer at my art school. But it always comes at the same time I press the play button so it always saves my work. But can be really annoying especially on a slow computer.

yes of course: I actually tried 3-4 of them. I'm sure the 04B02 (subtractive synth) crashed. I don't remember exactly the others but probably the 04B03. No issue at all with my own files instead. I'll try other examples.

For reference -- 04B02 works fine in Windows 7 64-bit, so this would seem to
be a Windows 8 issue.

While we're on the subject of examples in CsoundQt, the Diffamator example
needs to be edited to remove spaces before "int". In Csound6 I believe there
can't be any spaces in order for it to compile. At least, that's what I
discovered.

Hi,

sometimes CsoundQt crashes when Csound ends with SEGFAULT. If I have some suspicious code (like sometimes working with arrays), I often use the "Run in Terminal" button to see, if Csound is OK with the code. Also, you can find out, if the problem was in Csound or CsoundQt this way.

best!
