Subject[Csnd] Using MIDI keyboard to type in frequency/midi values
Hi fellow musicians. I had this crazy (or creative idea) to type in score.
It's very simple and useful for people like me who are a bit lazy memorizing
note value to every midi value. So I was thinking if you guys know the best
way to do this. That is if a button on a piano keyboard is pressed, that
will type in text for that note value. So let's say I'm using microsoft
excel and I'm writing score and I'm on p4 that responses to midi
values(cpsmidinn), what I would love to be able to do is to press c' on my
midi piano and the number 60 will fill that field etc. I think this is
possible with pure data, but before I start to program in pure data which
I'm not familiar enough with, has anyone here already done this or knows the
best way to do this?

Cheers,
Hlöðver Sigurðsson

Have you looked at the sensekey opcode?

No, didn't know it existed. I'll try it and let you know if it does what I'm looking for!

Thanks!
