I'm working on a theater/performance piece that uses csound and qlab
in a multi-channel set-up.  I'm looking to do both surround plus be
able to control speakers that would work more independently.  Like a 5
or 7.1 plus some more mono channels.   I need some help on the
hardware set-up.  A good combination of audio interface, mixer,
speaker/amp requirements and the best way to control them.  I've also
heard of more dedicated devices like the  x-spat box.

Can anyone recommend some professional guides/sites/books that would
explain this well and are current?
