In Windows, I can enable Pd to send and receive from the Csound API by
copying csoundapi~.dll to the Pd > extra folder.

What is the equivalent in MacOS?

You can start PD and then select in the Pd-Extended menu ->  
Preferences -> startup

add a new item:

/Library/Frameworks/CsoundLib.framework/Resources/PD/csoundapi~

apply, OK and re-start PD.

If you want to use the doubles version, instead of floats, add

/Library/Frameworks/CsoundLib64.framework/Resources/PD/csoundapi~

instead (but don't add both, that'll probably cause trouble).

Thanks, Victor. Oddly enough, Pd's Preferences item is grayed out in the
menu, but I found the file (by reading the Floss Manual) and copied it to
jimaikin > Library > Pd. That did the trick.

In my version of Pd-extended there are two preference menu items, one  
of which is grey out, but the other works.
