(maybe specially to Mr. Menno),
looking at min and minabs opcodes; in manual these can take only one signal
in input, others are optionals, but it seems that there is need at least two
signal in input (or there will be error message).
I guess same is for max and maxabs.

It seems obvious ...

yes, it needs at least to input signals; if only one input there is an error
- of course, this is logical :)
I think that when i change the syntax in the manual: amin min ain1 [, ain2]
[, ain3] [, ain4] [...]
to: amin min ain1, ain2 [, ain3] [, ain4] [...]
it is clear that at least two inputs are needed for min and friends, to
work.

If no objections, i will change min and friends accordingly.
