Subject[Csnd] Manual: noise and beta parameter + loscil
Hello All,
(and, of course, Mr. Menno first),

1 - looking at noise opcode the beta parameter should be in the range -1, 1.
But if You set beta to one of the limits, i.e. to -1 or to 1, You will not
have
output sound.
I guess this is normal for filter, but perhaps there should be a note in
manual,
for us not so smart :).

Or am i wrong?

2 - again if i'm not mistaken, loscil have ibas parameter optional, but
seems that
this is not optional, at least reading a sample with his original cps, i.e.
with cps
parameter set to 1 You will need also ibas set to 1.

Thanks All,
ciao,
francesco.

Not checked the documentataion but from the code beta should be in the
range (-1,1) (for anglophones and ]-1,1[ for francophones)

And for those without a degree in higher mathematics (clasic goon joke :-)
that means excluding the ends

exactly,
although in a past life i was a mathematician (maybe Fermat), in this
life i'm only me, and i think that this:

kbeta -- beta of the lowpass filter. Should be in the range of -1 to 1.

is not so clear, and maybe should be noted.
I understand that this is trivial, but some of us (i hope not only me)
need more easy things in manual.
And furthermore i am italian (good place, bad people).
I'm jocking.

Thank You Mr. Ffitch,
ciao,
francesco.
