| Hi to all, sorry for cross -posting (because I'm pretty sure I'm cross-posting :-) ) I'd like to make you know about this event in NY. We are not using Csound in live performance, but the original 2005 project involved from the beginning John ffitch and Richard Dobson (Hi, hope to see you soon!), and in some way started from the csound list. More, they used Csound as a testing and simulation tool during the development of the project, so... The VEP project - Virtual reconstruction of the Philips Pavilion (Poème électonique + Concret PH) at the Judson Center. Organised by EMF We'll present our reconstruction of the Philips Pavilion with the audiovisual show, including images by Le Corbusier and music by Varèse (Poème électronique) and Xenakis (Concret PH). Our first reconstruction used stereoscopic visors and binaural audio. This version will instead use a "public" setup: we will project on screen the 1958 visual show, while audio will be delivered on a 8-channel setup, all driven by navigation in the virtual pavilion. What will be seen/heard will be the point of view/hear of a listener in the pavilion during the show. We will use Richard Dobson's reconstructed score to drive Poème's spatialization, but this time, as I said, it will be rendered over 8-channels using VBAP technique. We will also present a new spatialization of Concret PH inside the pavilion. Also, we have (finally!) updated the web site (even if in parts still under construction) with a lot of infos related to the original materials and to reconstruction (sorry, I see, spatialization is still under construction!)
