Subject[Csnd] Nice mention of csGrain :)
Hi All,

I just saw this nice mention of csGrain:

http://www.theverge.com/2012/7/13/3117498/sonic-mayhem-sascha-dikiciyan-ipad-apps

The article is titled "Sonic mayhem: 'Mass Effect' composer Sascha
Dikiciyan's favorite iPad music creation apps". Nice!

Interesting when he says that "Originally, Csound was an audio
programming language for processing and creating sounds", so what is
it now? But seriously this is great. I know a lot of people using
csGrain now and they all love it. When is csTouch coming out? It looks
pretty cool too. Of course my next question is whether or not any of
this stuff will make it to Android?

That is just great! A great aunt left some money which I used to buy an iPad and the first app I bought was of course CsGrain.

Another app mentioned in the article is BitWiz. It seems to have an interface that lets you write code which is interpreted into sound. Would this perhaps mean there would be a possibility to port something like QtCsound to iPad without upsetting the powers that be? That would be just fantastic! Maybe even having it running in the background and use something like TouchOSC connected to localhost to control it in real-time?

Just a thought...

/Anders
