Rory,

How about something in the 1.5MB range?

This is the size of the standalone (zip) archive of my MAGNIFICAT2.

It includes the Lettuce executable at <.5MB (zipped) and *only 7 other
necessary files* for realtime Windows Csound performance: csound32.dll.5.1,
libsndfile-1.dll, pmidi.dll, portaudio.dll, rtpa.dll, rtwinmm.dll and
stopcod.dll. (I use Csound 5.06 as the file count is lowest for this
version.) These include all MIDI and audio drivers. All in a single folder
ready to run.

And absolutely no hassle making up such a package. No necessity for me (or a
performer) to do special compiling, downloading or anything. All very
simple.

What about it?

I don't think I could create a binary so small. But a good zip utility
could bring down the file size. I'm away for the next few weeks, but
I'll look into it more when I get back.

Rory.
