Greetings,

A question for the devs: Should I use the git repo or is SVN still the 
preferred source for the normal user who builds Csound locally ? And 
should I be retrieving Cs6 sources or stay with Cs5 for my typical 
Csound uses (AVSynthesis, CsoundQt, blue, etc) ?

GIT.  the CVS has not been updated for ages -- we do not use SVN I thought.

CS5 if you are writing serous sounds.  CS6 is OK at present but it amy get
extra logging, debugging etc.  So at present it is nicer, but that could
change when I (Or anyone) makes te next change

Okay, thanks for the update John. I'll report back when I've finished 
the build, I'm reinstalling everything on a fresh Arch64 system. Fun on 
a Sunday.
