Hello list,

I just received a call for submissions for ICMC which will be in New
York this year from my alma mater NYU music technology (which I would
be happy to forward, if there's interest). I think this sounds very
interesting and cool and I was wondering if anyone here in the csound
mailing list was planning to give a paper or presentation.
Slightly more selfishly, I was also harboring interest in submitting a
paper and was wondering if anyone on the list had done so in the past
and could give some advice.

Over the past decade or so:

I have submitted one poster. It was accepted.

I have submitted three papers. Two were accepted.

I have submitted three pieces. One was accepted.

I am completely independent, never affiliated with any university or
other institution. I have found the ICMC to be pretty fair and open, a
GREAT deal of fun to attend!

My impression is that the standards for both papers and pieces have
tightened up over the years. It probably depends on who is running the
show and how many people will be attending, however.

Not sure if I'm doing anything this time around....
