Is there a pthreadGC2.dll in your Csound install dir somewhere? If so
you could try placing it to the same dir as the external. Or you could
dump it into system32 and SysWowW64. That might get you past that
bump.

I'm afraid not. I've never used Csound with Max. Perhaps Steven can
help with this.

What version of Max are you using? I see this rather obscure message
in the release notes for 6.1.3

"windows: fixed error 193 loading external on max launch"

Hi!

I've been working with Dr, Boulanger in his labs on Csoundforlive plugins, and was recently facing the same issues.
I finally got the system working for Max 6.1.7, but currently on csound 5 (still in the process of shifting over to csound 6).
I got it working however by running everything in 32 bit, i.e. Live (9.1.2) and Max both running in 32 bit mode.
That worked for me. I wonder if that might help you. Worth a shot?

Good Luck!
Aseem

I'm trying with 32 bit because no 64 bit exists for csound on windows.
i think it should anyway.
i'm on csound 6 and with max 6.1.7 32 bit

thanks Aseem anyway!

Good Luck!
