I seem to recall that Victor added the ability to use csoundAPI
functions from within the python namespace for the py opcodes. I think
it was a year ago or something.
I'd like to use python to assemble a list of files from a directory,
filter so there's only audio files, and create ftgen statements to
load the sounds into ftables. I know how to do this from python, but
I'd like to do it by calling python from Csound. Since the python
opcodes can not return strings, I figured I could do it by letting py
opcodes call csoundAPI functions.
Do you recall this, Victor? It was something like letting csound put a
pointer to it's own running instance inside the py namespace.
