Subject[Csnd] pvs delay compensation
Hello,

I was wondering if there is a formula for working out the exact amount
of delay in samples that is added to the signal after it undergoes pvs
analysis.

Thanks

Peiman

I've been pondering the same question. IME it's around 0.06 seconds,
but not always exactly that.

I think it depends on windows size but I don't know the formula.

Cheers

Well, theoretically it should be window_size/sr. However for reasons I have not particularly investigated in the Csound code, the actual delay is

(window_size+2*hopsize)/sr

Thanks Victor,

That's very useful. I think it might be a good idea to put this in the
manual as delay is mentioned on this page but without any exact
figures: SpectralRealTime.html

Thanks
