A "double bass", like in an symphonic orchestra wouldn't have frets
to make fret noise with. One of those Mexican/Spanish acoustic basses
sometimes have frets on them, as do semi-hollow electric bass guitars.

Are you thinking more of some of the resonant emphasis' that occurs on
a sustained ringing note, or the fingering noises from fast and frilly
runs that occur from the fingers going up and down the finger board and
strings?

Each of the two afore mentioned would use a different way of doing it. A
resonant filter with a resonant sweep rate or LFO with a slight amplitude
to emphasize resonance over time, for the first one. A noise generator
with a short envelope to simulate finger squeak up and down the strings.

I am attempting to make an acoustic bass simulation using pluck. It
is going well, however I want to simulate the fret noise that
accompanies it.

Any great ideas on how to go about designing fret noise in Csound?
