Emacs is great but,
Csound-x for Emacs adds too much features to Emacs. Is there a way to
only have syntax highlighting for .orc .sco and .csd? I'm not good at
this lisp stuff :)

I will work on csound-x better moduralization, since several persons
asked for it... but it is not on the top of my todo list, sorry :)

Now if you have the feeling that some csound-x features get in your way,
this would be a design problem and I may improve the overall csound-x
experience if you could send me more details about what you dislike

regards,

Stef (csound-x author)

Me too; emacs is the only editor I use by choice.

Excellent idea - I'm sure he'll pick up quite a few new users if he
does.
especially because of the python-csound connection.
If you do, could you ask him to add to the python metachar set (it
looks like he's using one from apple),
the multiple-line comment strings ''' and """ ?

Also, - I haven't looked at your set yet - do you have a single-line
comment string defined?
the toggle-comment command in smultron is pretty neat and it would be
nice to have that accessible to csound.
If you've done it already, please forgive - I just started playing w.
it yesterday and haven't added your extensions yet.
