I think there is a problem with lpanal since 5.00, although I
think it didn't work in 4.23. I think if lpanal were to produce
correct output files, then lpreson et al would work. But I
meant to investigate this and never had the chance.

Good to know I'm not going crazy! I still have the old version of 
csound, so can use it to create samples for playback in the current 
version, but do hope this will be fixed.
