This is something I have been meaning to investigate myself, but I have not
really gotten started with it because I have my own system of composition.
Please keep us informed of your work.

I can say that I have found working with Python to generate scores using the
csnd and CsoundAC Python extension modules has simplified the process of
score generation. There are example scripts in the Csound examples
directory.

You should probably also check out blue, GraceCL, and AthenaCL, these are
some of the current major resources for algorithmic composition.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks for your response

Since I got your message I've been trying to understand how this
CsoundAC works, but I haven't found good documentation on how to use
it on a mac. I'm new to the programming world, and this might have
something to do with me not being able to understand how this works.

I downloaded Blue and I really like the interface and the stuff I
have been able to understand. I also downloaded a program called
Bidule, and it which has a very good interface for creating real-time
algorithmic composition systems. It supports VST, and it might be
useful to integrate Csound.

I read "Building a modular system for realtime algorithmic
composition and improvisation" by Øyvind Brandtsegg, and I think the
system he suggests is perfect for what I want to achieve.

If anyone can point me to a good source of information about
CsoundAC I would appreciate it.
