[Csnd] External envelope, e.g. from OSC

Subject[Csnd] External envelope, e.g. from OSC
How would I do this?
My drum trigger box sends OSC data (volume envelopes) to csound.
At a certain level a csound instrument should start following the volume
data from OSC, till another level is reached. (basically a short decaying
envelope)
Maybe I should use an always on instrument?

Richard

I will try to clarify a bit.
Suppose the envelope is k-rate. For my drum box, that works with xbee on a
high baud rate, converted to OSC, that is no problem I think.
But what if I have a very slow moving envelope, like the one from our Breath
Catcher (see photo)?
How do I convert this to k-rate, maybe by interpolation?

Yes Jim, I understand, it looks a bit odd...
Let me explain anyway.
The breath catcher is mainly developed by Danielle ( a friend and artist),
with a little help from me for the electronics. I also did the sound part in
Csound.
The tip of the cone contains a wind sensor and thermo sensor. This way the
difference between inhaling and exhaling can be determined...
It turns out to be a very sensitive device for capturing one's breathing
signature.
This photo was from a trial workshop that my wife and me attended, given by
a mindfulness/yoga teacher and Danielle.
We also recorded our breathing ( we were 7) over 1 minute at the start and
after some exercises, mainly to see the difference. I've added one of the
graphs made.
It could be a very useful device for meditation groups and the like.
