I would like set the maximum number of note which an by played at once to a certain value.
I would like to know, how this can be done!

I think the maxalloc opcode can be used for this.

Dear community,
unfortunately the maxalloc opcode reacts in another way as I expected.
I thought when I play a new note, maxalloc cuts off the old ones.
Unfortunately the opposite is the case:
I can not play new notes, when the maximum number of maxalloc is reach.
I would like to know, how this can be changed.

Perhaps using a combination of the active opcode and turnoff2 in an
always on instrument?
