That is really cool! I saw the codeswarm for python a few months back and was impressed -- it's awesome seeing one for csound now, too! Do you mind if I repost it on YouTube? Basically, it reads the cvs logs and then creates images of activity for a certain period of time, and then we put all the images together in a video. So... I was with too much time and little will to work, so I did one of these videos for csound5. The result is here[2]. I hope you will enjoy it. Of course, you are all welcome to add (your) music to it. Can't open it here, stupid media player can't find
the codec. Sometimes
you have to hate windows.

Stop using windows media player, it's terrible! Use vcl media player instead, it plays everything and it's open source. I thought windows weren't allowed to distribute media player with their operating systems any more? ....oh, I'm just after reading that they can still provide it but they have to provide a version of the operating systems without it due to legal actions taken against them by the European commission. It's probably not wise to mess around with your codecs if you don't need to, but I've found K-Lite to be the best -- it's installer does a great job validating and fixing broken codecs. After installing it you should be able to play everything in any version of Media Player. Failing that, there's an option to install the old Windows95 mediaplayer classic, iirc, which may be able to play it if the newer versions can't. The "Mega" codec pack is here... http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm -andy.f ----- "victor" |

Yup, it's up. No HD version, yet, but the low-fi version looks fine. It's *begging* to be scored, though, lol =) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Felipe Sateler" <fsateler@gmail.com> To: csound@lists.bath.ac.uk Sent: Saturday, May 30, 2009 9:40:32 PM (GMT-0500) America/New_York Subject: [Csnd] Re: Re: Code Swarm for csound5 Good Idea! It is now on youtube, the address is [1]. Youtube informs me it still has to be processed, but I guess it should be available shortly. If you upload a large enough video (e.g. 800x600) in an mpeg h264 format avi, YouTube will flag it for HD automatically. -andy.f ----- "Felipe Sateler" |
