Hi. Is there something in csound similar to faust's sdelay (smooth delay)? It is a double delay with interpolation. The problem is that faust does not seem to be compatible with csound 6 and a requirement for this project is that it has to run in linux, so I can't use Victor Lazzarini's faustgen, which I think is only supported in OSX at the moment. I need to simulate a feedback loop inside a trumpet and when trying with the real instrument, there is hardly any doppler audible, but when implementing the waveguides as comb filters, during changes in the delay time (the movement of a valve) the pitch is shifted in a very artificial way. I implemented the same simulation in supercollider using faust's sdelay and sounded quite good. Eduardo Moguillansky |
