Getting closer to figuring out what went wrong, you don't add the project to the build path you add it as a library, was doing that from the wrong screen so now that annoying error is gone, now its just munging the library so I'm recreating a fresh project, hopefully that will work, really important to follow the pdf instructions very carefully.
