I use convultion (convolve or pconvolve opcodes) with free IR files that can be found in the web (here a not complete list http://bedroomproducersblog.com/2010/10/01/free-sample-shootout-6-best-free-guitar-cabinet-impulse-responses/).

I've tried some eq curves to emulate the rolloff of the cabinet but the result was merely poor (the physics behind is a little more complex).

If not what would be the components that should be created for such a function?
