Hello! On flights and while traveling I've been getting more and more anxious. I have this Android device (a phone or a tablet) that could be a text editor thus I could be composing. On Android, I was wondering what toolchain (set of apps) people liked to use for CSound, from CSound itself to the editors they like to use? Is TED (a text editor) enough for you? Thanks, Abram |

I use the Csound6 app on Android with the Jota text editor. This editor integrates with Csound. The only app I know of is the csd player. works well, could do with some ui tweaks. but it's simplicity in terms of source java code means I use it as a sort of tutorial/reference on how to write csound android apps. so adding much more android centric features would only muddy the waters for me. on a phone, the screen is a bit small to edit csd's. on a tablet the editor is good enough. you might want to ensure your android keyboard has cursor keys, some don't and can make editing a bit frustrating. the play store offers a wealth of keyboards if yours doesn't fit the bill. all the best, Jacques > On 10 Nov 2013, at 20:01, Abram Hindle |
