Hi, I was skimming through the Michael Gogins CsoundAC tutorial in PDF format. I would love to be able to run some of the examples without retyping them, but it appears they are only pacakged in the Windows installer prepared by Michael; I'm on Linux....so is there any way we can make these a separate download available somewhere? I googled for the files by name with no luck. I also want to note that the installer doesn't seem to install CsoundAC.py at all, I had to do it manually after it was built. Is that intentional? The installer should definitely install CsoundAC.py, but you need to have Python installed first and tell the installer to install everything. The tutorial examples are in Csound CVS and can be downloaded from http://csound.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/csound/tutorial/code. Hope this helps, Mike On Mon, Jul 19, 2010 at 10:27 AM, Aaron Krister Johnson |

Michael, Python is certainly installed here. I find for instance _csnd.so in the /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages directory, so that installed succesfully. But my system couldn't locate CsoundAC.py after using the install.py script (except of course as a compiled source file in the local compile working directory) Thanks for the tip about where to find the examples! The installer doesn't install CsoundAC.py, I had to manually put it in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/ which is in my PYTHONPATH. Everything works fine after that. Csound 5.12.1, homebrewed on Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04. I'm sorry, I thought you were on Windows. I do not know about install.py. Could you enter a bug in SourceForge so this is more likely to be fixed? On Mon, Jul 19, 2010 at 11:26 AM, Dave Phillips |
