Victor & Richard,

"I think we might all need to join the AES"--- Why not, it
was at a Los Angeles AES Convention 10-yrs ago where I met Dr. B.
Giving a talk to the Student Sections about Csound, and Chris Stone
of the Record Plant and Steve Lampin of Beldin Cables.

After all, being an AES member is how I got access to and became
aware of a whole host of things that I normally wouldn't have
otherwise (like all of you people).

Looking forward to trying out some of this on MacCsound that's
on my laptop. Now you got me looking back at the other paper
and the dabbling I did on those Csound files you cited in the
last paper. Coupled with this recent one,... I'm goig to be
having some FM fun. Got me thinking of FM in more than just the
classical Edward Howard Armstrong or John Chowning methods.

Excellent!

yes, that should be no problem.

Maybe you could make the commented .csds part of the QuteCsound
Examples?

I'm afraid I cannot do that, as the JAES does not allow that sort of
thing. I think I might be able to do it sometime in the future.

  Victor,

Will you be able to make these papers and instruments available via a
.PDF on your university website? Hope so.

Just got my June 2010 issue of the Journal of the
Audio Engineering Society. Yes,... Victor Lazzarini,
may or may not feel a slight bit of embarassment, but
  he'll get over it.
The June issue of JAES starts off with a paper by
Victor Lazzarini and Joseph Timoney on Modified FM
Synthesis or ModFM. Cool stuff. Check it out. This,
and his Split Side Band FM paper from Sept 2008, make
a great pair of papers for those interested in
  FM synth (like me).
Interesting spectra distributions on page-467, almost a
a Bell curve. That's interesting at how you pulled that
off. This paper and the Sept 2008 paper will keep me
  busy for a while. Thanks.
Oh and Victor,... I promise I won't find any typo errors
in this one. Last time was a fluke, I like using Taylor
Series for number of things, so it caught my eye last time.
I don't think that'll be the case this time.
Cool paper, keep up the good work.
And hoist a Guiness for me.
  Cheers,
  -Partev

Partev,

did you say you worked for line6? I guess with those guitars you could
have a nice adaptive FM/SpSB/ModFM/etc effect with the
split pickup and all. I was thinking of doing a proof-of-concept here
(I have a guitar with a hexaphonic pup) but never got round to it.

Regards

Victor
