[Csnd] request...

Would it be relatively easy for Csound to report the named instrument
in error message instead of a corresponding number? Things get
confusing when you have an error in instrument FOOBAR and Csound
reports an error in instrument 11 for example. It's not a biggy, I'm
just putting it out there...

Possible, but not necessarily easy. I suspect it would need a search or
building of a map. Hum..... may look if the Tour de France does not get
exciting

Maybe doing this will go towards allowing named instruments for api score events? Cheers, Andrés On Sun, Jul 4, 2010 at 11:38 AM, |

Today's stage doesn't look like it's going to throw up any surprises, but you might as well stick with it, one never knows. I have it on in the background myself. Every so often the commentators are being drowned out by strange c-sounds... On 4 July 2010 11:38, |

Indeed. That would also be quite useful.. On 4 July 2010 11:57, Andres Cabrera |

I think it is easy -- I have identified the place to translate, but can
you point me at an error message that you do not like? I do not have many
errors myself (he said lying...)

It's just when the compiler reports an error in instr 5 even though instrument 5 in the orc file is named BLABLA. Do you know what I mean? I don't have any numbered instrument in my orchestra yet the compiler keeps referring to them as numbered instrument. I can post a complete example tomorrow. Rory. p.s. that was quite a hairy last km in the tour today, I thought it was going to be total carnage at one point! On 4 July 2010 19:03, |
