This would be easy to implement. There used to be such a plugin, by me, 
called CsoundAX. I quit maintaining it when I moved from Microsoft Visual 
C++, which made it easy to maintain, to MinGW which made it hard to 
maintain.

That was an ActiveX control, which could also be embedded in spreadsheets, 
used from Visual Basic, and so on.

There are other kinds of plugins, not based on ActiveX which is specific to 
Microsoft, and such a "browser plugin" might be cross-platform or easier to 
maintain but not usable from Visual Basic. Probably this is what you had in 
mind.

Yes, a cross-platform plugin would be great. I wasn't aware of your
previous plugin, that too sounds interesting. I don't know enough about
browser plugins to know how to go about this but I think it would be a
nice addition to the Csound family of tools.
