Making a copy of the VC90 directory changes nothing for me,
but I fooled around a bit...

If I copy rtpa.dll from my (own compiled) csound/plugins to the 5.09
csound plugins directory,
and at the same time copy my own portaudio.dll to the 5.09 csound/bin,
then portaudio will work with 5.09.

I've attached the files, for csound floats version.
Put rtpa.dll in /plugins, and portaudio.dll in /bin
