| Hi there,
I've recently started experimenting with the API and C (whilst trying to
learn C at the same time). I would like to set a rather large macro when
compiling csound from the API, using the --omacro flag.
Is there any limit to the length of the csound command in this case? I
know that terminals have a character limit for each command line, but
presumably the API doesn't have this problem.
If there is a limit, I'll just write the macro to a temporary file and
get the --omacro flag to point to it. I just thought it would be a
little bit cleaner to write as few files as possible.
I haven't tried it yet as I'm still programming rather slowly in C...
Also, in future, is it better for me to ask about the API on the
csound-dev list, bearing in mind my questions may be rather elementary?
Many thanks in advance,
Joe
