Subject[Csnd] Diskin Crash
Hi All.

If this has already been addressed please forgive me, I have not been
monitoring the list for a while.

At any rate, I am having an issue with the latest version of Csound,
5.09, for Windows. I am using the GUI interface. I have been tracing
down the issue all day and can now at least state some clear conclusions
as to what is happening. I use a very complicated orc file and so it
took reducing it down to the simplest denominators to prove what was
happening and under what conditions. Here are my findings:

Using "diskin" if the duration of the event in the sco is longer than
the duration of the sample being used Csound crashes. This happens
whether looping is turned off or on. The orc I was testing at the end of
my studio session is the most basic possible using only the diskin
opcode. No envelopes or any other opcodes. I am referencing a stereo, 16
bit wav file. It happens with a 4 second long file and with a 20 second
long file.

When I revert back to the most recent version before this current one,
5.08.2 I think, this issue does not exist.

It has the feel of something very minor in the code like a typo but I
have not looked at the source to try to find it. I will be happy to test
any fixes.

Sincere thanks to you amazing programmers for you dedication in
maintaining Csound.... I truly appreciate your work on a daily basis.
