There is convolve and ftconv. If you want to do more realtime stuff on
Linux, your answer would probably be jconv or the other developing GUIs to
that by Fons Adriaensen.
I think it's no difference in quality, just in the realtime-factor
department.
The most important thing is you finding the right impuse-responses for your
reverb. If you don't already have them, go here:

There's a point about csound and there youshould find sites with IRs. I took
a good deal of them and there are nice ones among them.
