| I used to use the ALSA driver when I was running Linux full-time. I
think that using a VM will definitely slow things down. I use pretty
much default settings when I run csound/blue in a VM on my Mac (I
think I have pa_bl as my driver). I'd try using -b 256 or higher
(512, 1024, 2048) and just experiment. However, when I use VM's to
test, it's really just for testing and I haven't really optimized it
much.
