Dear all,

My MSc thesis from the University of York is now available online. The sound examples all used Csound (including three test apps that used Csound for iOS). These are included in the "Extra Appendices" folder.

All the very best,
Nick

Thanks for sharing that.

The subject matter looks very interesting. It is only a mattter of time… Eventually we should see a plethora of new instrument designs which make use of the new technologies your thesis covers.

I really appreciate that you have decided to share your efforts with us.

All the best,

Jacques Leplat

"User tests show that if users want an app that will allow them to explore
music in a manner they would describe as “intuitive, interactive, creative,
and playful”, then a multi-touch gestural app is the preferred option.
However, if users want to be able to intricately modify and edit music, then
an app implementing a skeuomorphic design paradigm is the preferred option."

Not yet having read the thesis, I'd say intuitively that this is exactly
right. Thanks for sharing this material!
