Hello Csounders,
The International Csound Conference @ Berklee (with Chowning and Risset) is really coming together. We should have a preliminary schedule out to you all (and posted on the
conference website (http://csound.org) by Tuesday Sept 10. To date, we have received a number of beautiful and exciting papers, pieces, and proposal for workshops/panels/demos. It's promises to be a great weekend here in Boston for all in attendance and for all watching the live stream.
But I realized yesterday, as the submission deadline closed, that schools in Boston were not yet back in session (here at Berklee we start on Monday the 9th) - and so, I wanted especially to give the electroAcoustic community @ all the Universities in this city (and here at Berklee too) a few more weeks to submit pieces, reMixes, installations, papers, demos, etc.
And so, at our organizational meeting yesterday, we decided to keep the submissions open for 2 more weeks - until Sept. 17. So.... if you have something to submit, there is still time!
Also... Hotel info has been posted on the "about" page - We are "all" staying at The Sheraton (it has a nice "big" bar, and a lot of space for morning and late-night "hanging out")
Finally, given that the performance and lecture venues at Berklee are of limited size, we regrettably have to limit the number of people who can "physically" attend the conference. And so, if you want to come, I do recommend that you register soon before we reach our cap!
See you all in Boston in a couple of months! PS. Help spread the word to your colleagues, students, friends, mailing-lists. Send them our link so that they know to "tune-in" - http://csound.org

Hi Richard, just to let you know I've not yet submitted something, as we're still not sure if I will be able to attend. If not, I hope to prepare on online video tutorial/workshop for Cabbage users. It will take them through the basics and beyond. It would be nice to host it on the conference website as an extra goodie for those there, and the ones who couldn't make it. Let me know what you think, Rory. On 5 September 2013 14:07, Dr. Richard Boulanger |
