I had done comparative reverb tests some time ago, reporting them to this
list.
IIRC, reverbsc operates only at a modest premium to the "ordinary" reverb.
(Besides, this is the sound I prefer, especially for its sense of depth and
space.)

Which reverb are you using? I would think the ordinary reverb opcode
is not so expensive.
