| The way to use macsound on Intel OSX is well known: the .ppc version
of csound must be installed.
In the maccsound README BEFORE ... doco (v1.3b4), it says:
> MacCsound only requires the CsoundLib.pkg to be installed, but you
> certainly can install the
> other packages, if you wish.
is this correct? does it not depend also on libsndfile dylib being
installed, which, as I understand it, is installed by the
SupportLibs.pkg
If this is correct, then the comment in the maccsound README is not,
and users wishing to use maccsound on intel boxes may need to use the
csound5.mpkg installer, or perhaps the SupportLibs pkg as well as the
CsoundLib.pkg
I just found this out the hard way. It just goes to show dumb
installing is safer than reading the documentation!
which leaves me with a question: Is there a current uninstall script
around? I have an earlier version but such a beast seems not to be
part of the packaging these days.
