Rory's implementation in Lettuce is excellent as well - not at all 
"sluggish."

My hope is that Rory can make his standalone executables cross-platform in 
the near future. I also hope he'll get his entire Lettuce package in a 
condition to be widely used (at least in Windows). The main barrier, as I 
see it, is complete and up-to-date documentation.
